Who we are

Moryvanta is operated by Burhani Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the “controller” of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

We process personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: name, email address, username and password (stored encrypted).
• Order and billing details: billing name, address, country and email, the products or plans you buy, and your order history.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or through our forms, such as support requests.
• Newsletter: your email address if you sign up for updates.

Information created when you use Moryvanta

• Membership and download activity: your plan, its start and end dates, download credits used and a log of downloads, including the IP address used.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit, collected in server logs and through cookies.
• Wishlist, compare and cart: products you save or add, so we can show them to you again.

Payment information

Card and payment details are entered on, and processed by, our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card type, the last four digits and the payment status.

How we use your information

We only use personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so:

• To perform our contract with you: creating and managing your account, processing orders, delivering downloads, running your membership and daily credits, and providing support.
• For our legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, preventing fraud and account sharing, enforcing fair use, handling disputes and chargebacks, and improving our store. We balance these interests against your rights.
• To meet legal obligations: keeping tax and accounting records and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
• With your consent: sending our newsletter and marketing emails, and using any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

• Essential cookies that keep you signed in, remember your cart and checkout session, and protect the site (for example WordPress login cookies and WooCommerce cart and session cookies). The site cannot work properly without them.
• Preference cookies that remember choices such as your wishlist and compare list.

If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the site may then stop working.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run Moryvanta, under contracts that require them to protect it:

• Payment providers that process your payments and help prevent fraud.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services, which host our website and data.
• Email delivery providers that send order confirmations, account emails and newsletters.
• Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
• Authorities such as HMRC, the police or courts, when the law requires it.

If Moryvanta or its assets are sold or transferred, personal data may be transferred to the new owner, who must continue to protect it in line with this policy.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. When that happens, we make sure it is protected, for example by using countries the UK recognises as providing adequate protection, or approved contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

• Account data: for as long as your account is open. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
• Orders and invoices: six years after the end of the financial year of the purchase, as required by UK tax law.
• Download and membership logs: for the life of your membership and up to 12 months afterwards, to handle support, disputes and fair-use checks.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Support messages: up to two years after your request is resolved.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• ask us to delete your data, where we no longer need it;
• ask us to restrict or pause how we use your data;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
• withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email support@moryvanta.com. We will respond within one month. You can update most account details yourself in My Account.

Security

We protect your data with encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, restricted admin access, security hardening on our servers and regular backups. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you have signed up or have bought from us and not opted out. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop by emailing support@moryvanta.com. We will still send essential emails about your orders and account.

Children

Moryvanta is not intended for children. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to buy from us. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or with a notice on the site.
